Wedding Escort Cards can be an easy diy project that you can create for your wedding.  I have included a few great photos to give you some inspiration for creating your own wedding escort cards using mini clothes pins.

The wooden clothespins will add that simple elegant homespun look.  The sizes I would recommend you using for these projects would be either the 1.00 inch mini clothes pin or the 1.75 inch mini clothespin.  Depending on how big you choose to make your Escort cards.  We carry both sizes in our Artfire store.    If you are looking for tags, we also carry those in our Etsy packaging store.

Enjoy the photos and let your imagination soar!

In the above photo the escort cards are printed on a folded mini card and hung on a string with mini clothespins.  It looks like this could of been hung on the side of shingled house, maybe great for a backyard, field or outside wedding

Elegant meets homespun.

An antique / vintage picture frame was used.  Ribbon was tied around the top of the frame and hung down.  Then escort cards were attached to the ribbon with 1 inch mini clothes pins.

Handwritten escort cards are propped up with the use of 1.75 inch clothes pins.  Just place them on a table for an easy way for guest to find their tables.

These escort cards take a bit different approach.  Here the maker cuts out squares of cotton quilting fabric with pinking shears.  Then a paper dragonfly with guest information is glued onto the fabric.  Hung on an old fashion clothes line with 1.75 inch clothe pin pegs.  I would think that the 1.00 size would also work nicely, they have quite a strong hold.   This idea could easily be adapted to your taste in colors or themes.

This would work for indoors and outdoor weddings.   An old vintage window is used for the backdrop.  Rustic string is strung across the window. How about using thumbtacks there for an even more rustic charm.  Shipping tags serve as the escort cards and 1.75 inch clothes pins are used to hang them from the string.

Other back drops you could use?  How about  blackboards, bulletin boards, mirrors..etc etc.

As I come along more great ideas for using these cutie cute miniature clothes pins I will keep you updated.
Have fun crafting!!

A little about me.

My papercraft life started when I was 8 with the brilliant idea of making greeting cards to sell door-to-door in my neighborhood.  Ten cents a piece, that’s what I charged back then.  I dreamed of becoming the next “Hallmark”!  As you can guess that didn’t happen.  Life stepped in the way of my fantasy, and I had to go play kickball!

Time went on, I got older, and despite having to deal with some of life’s not so great moments of losing loved ones and an illness, my love of creating was always there on the back burner.

When I was ready for it again, it was still there waiting for me.  Picking it back up, I felt joy and excitement.  So here I am again, all grown up, and still loving to design and create, inspired by my love of vintage designs.

I hope you enjoy my creations as much as I enjoy making them.  :)

Here are a few Halloween cupcakes to inspire your treats this season.

Halloween Ghost Cupcakes

Ghost Cakes

These ghosts cakes can be cut out of a sheet cake.  Use vanilla or white cake, bake in a flat sheet.  Cut out shapes  (make sure they can stand.  Give them a larger base than top)   If you are using two pieces for the ghost you can “glue” them together with icing.  Dip ghosts in either a cookie icing or use vanilla candy ‘melts’.  Pipe on the face with black icing.  Set in mini cupcake papers.

Halloween Simple and Elegant Cupcakes

I just saw this on a beautiful blog called  “the farm chicks”   I had to post it!  I think it is a wonderful way to recycle those plastic soda jugs.   It will be Christmas soon and that means company .  So I know you guys will be buying soda.  Now those old plastic bottles will give you natural beauty as well.   And what a great way to use up some of that left over scrapbooking paper from your Christmas projects to decorate the bottle.
